Титика, Национальный посол доброй воли ЮНЭЙДС в Анголе

Titica is the first prominent transgender artist in Angola, who began her career as a kuduru dancer, performing for groups, such as Note e Dia, Própria Lixa, Puto Português, Fofando and Nacobeta. She started singing at the age of 16 and despite the stigma and discrimination she faced her songs brought her to the lime light – getting her invitations to sing on international stages, including Brazil, Spain, Germany, South Africa and Mozambique. Titica also collaborated with big names from the Angolan scene like Puto Português, Ary and Anselmo Ralph.

Titica released her first album in October 2011 entitled Chão (Ground), produced by Bué de Beats and LS Music.

Chão is currently nothing less than one of the most heard Kuduro songs in Angola and among Angolan communities living outside the country.

Titica won the Kuduro Revelation award from Top Kuduro organized by Radio Escola in Luanda for her songs Chão and O Boneco (The Puppet), featuring Ary.

Titica was also honoured as Diva of Rangel, where she was born.

Due to her popularity and charisma Titica has been invited to participate as a special guest of the largest annual gala in Angola – the Divas Angola 2011 that honours Angolan women. Most recently, Titica performed in the Kuduro Festival held in Berlin where she was applauded by the audience and local and international media.
