People who use and inject drugs are among the groups at highest risk of exposure to HIV, but remain marginalized and out of reach of health and social services.

On the occasion of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, which is commemorated every year on 26 June, UNAIDS is releasing a short brochure highlighting the many commitments made to protect the health and human rights of people who inject drugs and ensure they have access to HIV services.
