Tim Martineau is the Director for Management at UNAIDS. He joined UNAIDS in 2006, working until 2008 as the Director of the Executive Office, from 2011 to 2016 as the Chief of Staff, and subsequently, from 2016 to 2019 as the Director of UNAIDS Fast-Track Implementation Department.
Mr Martineau current responsibilities are to lead the organisations work in People Management, Finance and Accountability, Information and Communication Technology as well as the team supporting Change Management activities across the organization.
Prior to joining UNAIDS, Mr Martineau worked with the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development in a number of country and regional posts, advising on bilateral health and AIDS programmes in Latin America, Africa and Asia.
Mr Martineau has a degree in social sciences and a masters in health policy and planning from the Nuffield Institute at Leeds University in the United Kingdom.
