The UNAIDS logo is the primary visual identifier of UNAIDS and it is used across all products and languages to build recognition, trust and loyalty. The UNAIDS logo is an integrated unit. Elements of the logotype and logomark should not be separated or altered in any way. The guidance given on the use of the UNAIDS logo must be followed regardless of purpose (digital or print) and audience (external or internal)
Since the UNAIDS logo is the most powerful visual identifier within the UNAIDS brand, it must always be treated with respect.
Colleagues wanting to add the UNAIDS logo to a publication or product must first ensure that the material has been reviewed and cleared. Please contact Communications and Global Advocacy for more information on the clearance process.
Logo variations
In most situations, the UNAIDS logo should appear in the two brand colours: Pantone Black and Pantone 186. However, in some cases, it is permitted to use the logo in black-and-white or reversed out of a coloured background. The colour version of the logo always goes on a white background.

Logo usage tips
- The colour version of the UNAIDS logo always goes against a white background.
- The logo is an integrated unit. Elements of the logotype should not be separated, altered or cropped in any way.
- When using the UNAIDS logo on its own, the preferred placement is the top right corner of the page allowing white space around it.
- Do not stretch or distort the logotype.
- Do not flip the logotype.
- Do not apply a coloured mask/filter to the logo.
- Do not rotate the logotype.
- Ensure the appropriate type of file is downloaded depending on the planned use of the logo (i.e. web: use gif, print: use eps).
- The minimum size of the logo is 45 mm x 8.5 mm.
- The UNAIDS logo with the Sustainable Development Goal wheel should only be used on publications for which the UNAIDS logo is the only logo appearing. If other logos are to appear on a publication, the standard UNAIDS logo should be used.
Logo exclusion zone
The UNAIDS logo requires sufficient space around it in order to maximize its presence. A protective exclusion zone prevents encroachment of any graphic elements from interfacing with the integrity of the mark. This space should be equivalent to or greater than the height of the UNAIDS letterform.
